Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzales-Collins, who is she is a Mexican American broadcaster. She is currently a sportscaster for ESPN who is also anchor of SportsCenter news, as well as host of SportsNation. The first time she worked for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bilingual since the age of nine years old, a valuable ability that allowed her to secure her first position as a production assistant for Univision in Miami and gave her an opportunity to work with producers of national programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Following this, the CBS affiliate of St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter in the sport field. She moved in 2009 from Rio Grande Valley, Texas to become an anchor for the newscast of The Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. They moved at some point into Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November of 1985. She has an older sister. The family moved in 1992 to Mexico to the US and was settled in Miami. The couple divorced shortly after and her mother married with a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in 2006. It was on a holiday in the summer that she lived with her sister living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had gotten work. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school, but she was very aware of her career goals. She visited Mount Union University to find out if the school was suitable for her. She loved the campus. It also gave her the degree she wanted. After graduating from school, she was enrolled in the university with a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU in which she's a member. They developed a close friendship. He guided her to become self-confident and his passion for journalism was deeply affecting her and she in turn, was determined to fulfill his expectations, and to never disappoint him.
